Pennsylvania Allows MMA

You can now add Pennsylvania to the growing lists of states allowing mixed martial arts or MMA events.
The new regulations take affect on February 27th, 2009.

"Mixed martial arts events -- like the popular Ultimate Fighting Championship are now legal in Pennsylvania and can be promoted in Pittsburgh."

As it stands right now, MMA is legal in some states but not regulated by a local commission.
As far as I know, MMA is still illegal in the states of Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New York, South Carolina and West Virginia.
But as MMA grows, some of these states may see MMA as the big business it's becoming and allow it in.
I'm guessing the next to allow it will be New York, because I can just see a huge MMA card at Madison Square Garden.
